Timber: Cypress. Length 45cm. Carved out using the angle grinder with an Atbotech cutter, the cypress timber came from a tree removed to make room for extensions to the Mumbulla School, Bega.

I was intending to remove all the bark but it worked out better to leave this bit and it does make a colourful accent.

I picked up this gall from the Sturt Highway roadside near Wagga, NSW, on first site seeing a bowl but not knowing how to create it at the time. Power carved and sanded.
