- Prepare timber
- Create template and trace or mark out from scratch on the timber
- Form inside of scoop followed by outside, while you still have somewhere to grip the scoop. Don't put the scoop end in the vice or you'll crush it
- Carefully hold the handle in the vice as you shape the handle, a bit of a balancing act that takes some careful planning
